Materials/Tools Needed

  • Screwdriver
  • 2 screws per replacement clamp
  • Replacement sofa spring clamp

Installation Steps:

Step 1: Preparation

  • Place the sofa on a dining chair so that it is completely horizontal.
  • Ensure that the sofa is fully stable and secure.

Step 2: Remove the old clamp (if applicable)

  • If there is already an old clamp in place, carefully remove it using the appropriate tools.
  • Check for any residues or damage to the sofa spring.

Step 3: Place the new clamp

  • Position the new sofa spring clamp against the bar with the curvature facing the location where your old clamp was.
  • Use the hole directly below for the first screw, as shown in the online photo.
  • Do not fully tighten the screw yet; leave it slightly loose.

Step 4: Attach the spring

Ensure that the sofa is completely horizontal for the best results. You can apply more force by first placing the front spring and then pulling the spring backward while leaning against the sofa.

  • Place the spring into the clamp.
  • Fully tighten the screw to securely hold the spring in place.

Step 5: Insert the pin

  • Insert the pin to secure the spring.
  • The pin protrudes slightly forward and will be pressed down by the second screw you install.

Step 6: Attach the second screw

  • Install the second screw to secure the pin and the spring firmly in place.
  • Fully tighten the second screw.

Step 7: Test the clamp

  • Test the clamp by gently pressing on the sofa or leaning on it to ensure it is securely and safely mounted.

PS: Ensure that the sofa is completely horizontal for the best results. You can apply more force by first placing the front spring and then pulling the spring backward while leaning against the sofa.
