In the 17th century, polonaise carpets were made with a satin weave. The same binding was used in the Rime collection.
The weave pattern is particularly prominent in the color variants where the color of the warp contrasts with the color of the weft. Other fabrics that combine color schemes with similar shades have a calmer appearance.
