The Aristide Outdoor collection contains, as the name suggests, furniture fabrics for outdoor use, but can of course also be used indoors. Characteristics of this collection are the bright colors that emerge in both the coarse and fine weaves of this collection.
The Outdoor collection is made from Sunproof Olefin.
Although Olefin is not well known, this material has been around for decades, since 1963 to be exact. That year, chemist Giulio Natta and Karl Ziegler won the Nobel Prize for a method to convert polyolefins into fibers using titanium as a catalyst. One of the fibers this could produce was olefin.
Olefin is a textile fiber that feels soft, is lightweight and is specially designed for outdoor use. During the production of olefin, the fibers are dyed directly in a solution, so that the high lightfastness percentage can be achieved.
Outdoor is stain, dirt and water repellent, together with the soft finish, this is a great fabric for both indoors and outdoors!
